Long Time, No Type

Well, apologies are in order.

It's only been 5 months since my last post. Sorry about that. :\

So, because I've been neglecting my sad little blog,

here's a quick recap of the months leading up to, well, now. ;)

March:

A couple awesome things happened in March.

Let's make a nice little list!

1.) RA Job

That's right! The interviews went...well I assume they

went exceedingly well. I was offered a job in "Herget Hall." Which,

oddly enough is known as the "party dorm." But regardless of that

I'm actually really excited about it.

Training starts in August. Can't wait. ;)

2.) Birthday!

March 13th ;) I turned 20 this year. Still doesn't

quite feel like I'm that old. (I take after my dad

with some things - and being young at heart is

one of them) We celebrated by going to

the local mall and having dinner at Joe's crab shack.

The only way that birthday could've been better

is if we could have skipped the part where

I tried to otter my way into a crab and sliced

my fingernail near clean off. :\

April

April is always a hectic, yet awesome month

for the college student. Why? Well, SPRING BREAK, of course.

Unfortunately, no matter the fact that Mason and I are both

in our 20s, we are still obligated to spend

the week with our families. Which, of course

there are pros and cons of that. ;)

April is also Mason's birth month. On the 16th my

man turned 21. I know, I know. Let the 'o.o' faces

ensue. It scared me too. ;P

May

The end of the school year! May is always simultaneously so

stressful you could rip your hair out and exciting because

you're finally moving home for the summer.

My final project in Interior Design (the one I crazily decided to

completely restart two weeks before it was due) went down well

during critiques and in grading. Overall the year earned me a 3.0

GPA. Not the best it could be, but I'll take it.

Since then I've been home with the family. Doing work

around the house, and wedding work for my dad. Trying to get

some small outside "jobs" to beef up my wallet before I go back

to school in less than a month.

But enough of all of that.

There's been some fun stuff going on around the house

that I feel I need to report!

I've finally worked up the nerve and decided to paint over

the dark purple walls and black ceiling of my bedroom.

I know, I know; those are crazy colors

and what was I thinking. But at the time

it was the coolest thing in the world,

and I'll likely miss it. If only just a little. ;)

The replacement colors are a white ceiling,

with beige walls and white trim. It's going

to feel so much more open and bright once it's done.

The walls have been painted, our last step is to do the

baseboards and trim. Then we'll likely spend a good

bit of time sanding and painting some

furniture my aunt so awesomely

offered to give me.
